I've booked a Groupon for alignment service with Foreign Auto Services. After I called to schedule an appointment, first thing, they ask you about make and model of the car, but in fact, no matter what car you named, they sayin immediately, you car requires additional $35 charge they (which is not mentioned anywhere ! ) I said ok, and was asked about my phone number. After giving the number, they refused to schedule an appointment, saying, "We have a note in our system, you've been here before and used only Groupon, and refused any additional services. You're not the customer we want to deal with". Very unprofessional to say that even if you simply don’t want to deal with Groupon customers (which you should do)
Mr. Jacobs, I spoke to my service advisor this morning about the 1 star review you left us. It was brought to my attention that you have been here multiple times with different vehicles and have been very difficult to deal with. It was also brought to my attention that you are a dealer/used car business as well… and the sole purpose of you coming here is to only do the alignment and have your car checked out by us at a very discounted rate. As you may know, Groupon is used by businesses like ours to attract new clients, to build a long-term relationship with, and many times these highly discounted services are done as a loss leader. It is not our intention to have other businesses take advantage of this discounted service. We have several other businesses we have partnered with that use us for that very service at an agreed upon discounted price, but not at a loss to us. That is a win-win for us and them. Had you told us from the beginning you are running a used car business and were looking for a shop to partner with, we would have worked out a deal with you that would have been beneficial to you and us. To address the $35 charge. If you read the fine print at the bottom of the Groupon page, you would see that any sports vehicles, luxury vehicles or trucks have an added charge since there are more adjustments needed to be made which take additional labor time. There are dozens of cars that we align, that do not get that $35 fee added like Accords or Camrys, most Kia’s and Hyundai’s just to name a few. I recommend that maybe next time instead of bashing another small business with an excellent reputation and almost 50 years in operation, you maybe pause and look at the big picture. I hope this all makes sense, but if you need any further explanation, I would be more than happy to talk with you in person or on the phone. Regards, Carlos Infante Owner
