When I think of the stereotypical "Shady Mechanic", this is now the first place that comes to my mind. Wow, what a ridiculous experience. They charged me about 25% above market to perform an expensive repair. I realized they misdiagnosed the issue - and so I had the same problem. When I complained, I was practically snubbed. Of course this was after I paid them, so what do they care? There are plenty of other places nearby that do the job, and don’t charge as much.
